Maui has the world’s largest inactive volcano, Mount Haleakala, also known as the House of the Sun. The base of this mountain is big enough to cover Manhattan, and is over 10,000 feet high. You can hike in the craters on this mountain, and get pictures of yourself on the summit at sunrise.

Tour the Island

You can tour the island many different ways, from land, sea or air. On land, you can hike, bike, or drive through Maui’s beautiful sites. You can also sail, boating, parasailing and parachuting off the shore. There are also helicopter tours available, where you can view all of Maui from a bird’s eyes view.

Whether you are coming as a family or a couple, you enjoy Maui and all it has to offer. You may even find that you won’t be able to do everything in one trip and will soon find yourself planning your return.
